Cracked Porcelain Doll: Halloween Make-up
THE PORCELAIN DOLL Not sure if you want to be scary or cute this halloween? The "cracked porcelain doll" is equal amounts of precious yet scary. Keep reading for our pro tips on how to achieve this look. STEP 1: PRIME & PREP Apply the Airbrush Mineral Primer all over your clean, fresh face to create a smooth and even base for your make-up and extend the make-up wear. STEP 2: CONCEAL Using a Liquid Mineral Concealer that is at least one shade lighter than your regular concealer colour, apply the concealer with a Concealer Brush over any imperfections as well as down the neck and around the collarbone. Make sure to apply generous amounts under the eyes and around the hairline to mimic the round face shape of a porcelain doll. Pro Tip: Apply the concealer all over your lids to act as a base for your eyeshadow and add a touch to the lips for added creepy effect. STEP 3: COVER Apply the Pressed Mineral Cover that is at least one shade lighter than your regular foundation colour all over the face. To build the intensity of the foundation for this look, using the Mineral Brush and apply in gentle circular motions until the desired coverage is achieved. Pro Tip: For the ultimate "cracked" effect, we recommend to build the foundation to a full coverage STEP 4: IT'S ALL IN THE EYES Use the Blending Brush to apply shade #3 (light blue) on the Natural Wonders Eye Palette all over the lid. Use the Smudge Brush to apply shade #8 (deep blue) along the eye crease, concentrating towards the inner eye and bring some colour slightly down the nose to contour. To intensify the look, add a touch of shade #10 (black) along the crease and inner corner of the eye. STEP 5: A TOUCH OF BLUSH As an optional step, apply a touch of the Virgin Blush using the Angled Blush Brush on the apples of your cheeks. STEP 6: SET YOUR LOOK Apply generous amounts of the Pressed Mattifying Mineral Veil in gentle circular motions using the Buffing Brush all over the face. This will prevent your make-up from shifting throughout the day. STEP 7: START CRACKING This step is the key to the Porcelain Doll look. It is important to use a highly pigmented liquid eyeliner with a precision tip applicator such as our Definition Eyeliner in Black to created the 'cracked' effect. Not sure where to start? Our tip is to start with the eyes by creating a winged eyeliner. Using the tip of the applicator, carefully extend the eyeliner wing towards your temples to create soft cracks. You'll notice that the applicator is gentle yet sturdy enough to help you create the perfect lines. Start drawing the outline of the cracks along the forehead, then move to the neck and finish on either sides of your face and the lips. This will give you the chance to get used to creating the cracks on the less noticeable areas before concentrating on the centre of your face. Don't worry if your lines aren't perfect, cracks aren't supposed to be! Now the hard part is over, it's time to fill in the cracks with the Contour Eye Pencil in 01 Black. Pro Tip: We recommend setting your make-up one more time with the Pressed Mattifying Mineral Veil with the Finishing Brush to set your freshly drawn 'cracks' NEARLY DONE! Don't forget to finish this look with doll-like accessories such as a vintage dress, knee high socks, matching shoes, hair accessories and some hair colour if you wish.

This is ideal for controlling oil and shine around the T-Zone. STEP 6: EYES & LIPS Add a touch of elegance with an every-day nude eyeshadow and blending brush. Start with the lightest shade all over the eyelid, the middle shade into the crease and pop the darker shade on the outer ends of the eyes. Kiara then uses the darkest shade to press against her lash line for a subtle smoky effect. Using the lip brush, start by lining the lips then fill the rest with colour to polish off your look. 3 HOURS LATER, WHAT'S KIARA'S VERDICT? "The powder foundation is still look very airbrushed and radiant, I am really, really impressed with the way that it has worn. STEP 1: PRIME & PREP Apply the Airbrush Mineral Primer all over your clean, fresh face to create a smooth and even base for your make-up and extend the make-up wear. STEP 2: CONCEAL Cover your dark circles and any imperfections with the Liquid Mineral Concealer using a Concealer Brush Pro Tip: Apply the concealer all over the lid to act as a primer for your eyeliner and eyeshadow STEP 3: COVER Apply the Natural Mineral Cover in small circular motions using the Mineral Brush to create an airbrushed complexion. Pro Tip: We recommend building the foundation to a medium coverage for this look. STEP 4: DOE EYED Use the the 15 Blending Brush and apply the Natural Illusion Pressed Eyeshadow in 02 Stone all over the lid, blending upwards and outwards for a soft smoky effect. Using the same brush, blend a touch of the 01 Storm into the centre of your lid to give the illusion of rounder eyes. STEP 5: LINE & DEFINE Use the Contour Eye Pencil in 01 Black to line the top of your lids creating a slight wing to give the appearance of larger eyes. To intensify the look, apply two coats of the Allure Defining Mascara to extend and curl the lashes. STEP 6: BRIGHTEN THE EYES Using the 16 Smudge Brush, apply the Natural Illusion Pressed Eyeshadow in 11 Pearl in the inner corner of your eyes to brighten up the eyes. Use this same brush and eyeshadow to create white dots around the eyes towards the temple and a few around the hairline if you wish. Pro Tip: Use your finger to apply another layer of eyeshadow on top of your 'white dots' STEP 7: OH DEERY ME The first trick to a 'deer' contour is to use an eyeshadow and an eyeliner brush to draw the main accents of the look. Grab the 17 Angled Eyeliner Brush and dip it into the Natural Illusion Pressed Eyeshadow in 02 Stone. Start by filling in your brows, the key here is to over-fill the eyebrows concentrating on a straight brow instead of an angled brow for a softer look. From the inner point of your eyebrows, use the angled brush to draw down the side of your nose, repeat this for both sides to elongate and shape the nose. Using the same brush and eyeshadow, extend your eye make-up by drawing an exaggerated faux eyeliner and eyelashes underneath your eyes. Finish the eyes by lining underneath the waterline. STEP 8: GETTING NOSEY Create the nose using the Contour Eye Pencil in 01 Black, extend this to your top lip for a full deer effect. STEP 9: CONTOUR & HIGHLIGHT Highlight your forehead and the middle panes of your face using the Angled Blush Brush and the lightest shade in the Contour Palette. Using the same brush, dip into the darkest shade on the Contour Palette and begin to create a deep contour under your cheek bones. Don't be afraid to use a lot of product here for an exaggerated look! STEP 10: FINISHING VEIL Lightly dust the Mineral Finishing Veil all over the face with the Finishing Brush to set your make-up and you're good to go! FINAL TOUCHES To complete the look, we recommend wearing beige and brown tones and tying your hair in buns or creating your own DIY antlers out of sticks.

STEP 2: CONCEAL Cover your dark circles and any imperfections with the Liquid Mineral Concealer using a Concealer Brush Pro Tip: Apply the concealer all over the lid to act as a primer for your eyeliner and eyeshadow STEP 3: COVER Apply the Natural Mineral Cover in small circular motions using the Mineral Brush to create an airbrushed complexion. Pro Tip: We recommend building the foundation to a medium coverage for this look. STEP 4: SPARKLY EYES Take the Shimmering Sands Loose Eyeshadow in Coral Sand and apply all over the lid. Bring the eyeshadow down to the inner corner of your eyes to make them pop and extend down to the start of the bottom inner lashline. Using the Blending Brush, dip it into Shade #8 (deep blue) of the Natural Wonders Eye Palette and apply this from the centre to the outer corner of your eye blending back and forth for a smoky effect. Grab the Contour Eye Pencil in 06 Rainforest and generously line your bottom lashline (don't worry if the line isn't precise!). Then, using the smudger on your eye pencil, blend the Rainforest liner around your bottom lashline for a dreamy effect. To set the liner and intensify the colour, dip the 16 Smudge Brush into the Natural Illusion Pressed Eyeliner in 08 Palm and go over the bottom lashline. Dip the same brush into Shade #10 (black) on the Natural Wonders Eye Palette and carefully go over the outer corner of the eyes on the top and bottom to add depth to your eyes. STEP 5: MASCARA Use the Allure Defining Mascara on the top and bottom lashes for perfectly curled mermaid lashes. FINISHING TOUCHES To finish the look, we recommend getting some sparkly gems to place around the eyeshadow. You can do this by either purchasing adhesive diamantes or simply using eyelash glue as your adhesive and if you're thinking about hair accessories, some shells should do the trick!
